Water Rafting and Chimpanzee Trekking.
Day 1: Kampala
to Jinja; Source of the Nile, Bujagali
Falls
Our company representative will pick
you from the hotel in Kampala and
drive you to Jinja. Make a stopover
to visit Ssezibwa Falls in Mukono
and admire the natural beauty and
the wonders of the falls. Later proceed
to Jinja going through the thick Mabira
Forest along the way. After lunch
Jinja Nile Resort or Hotel Triangle,
you will head to the source of the
Nile that a British explorer, John
Speke alleges to have discovered.
You will also go rafting on the Nile
River a few kilometers from the source
of the Nile. It’s an interesting
experience at the Nile falls. After
rafting in the evening you will be
driven to Kampala for overnight and
dinner at your booked accommodation.
Spend your overnight and enjoy dinner
at Jinja Nile Resort or Hotel Triangle.
Day 2 Rafting
Safaris / Source of the Nile tour
Have a full day of white water rafting.
Later you may visit the Bujagali falls
as well. After rafting, return to
Kampala for overnight and dinner at
Hotel Africana, Sheraton, Serena or
Grand Imperial Hotel.
Day 3: Visit
Ngamba Island, the Home of Chimpanzees
Today you will move to Ngamba Island
for a motivating watching of the chimpanzees.
Ngamba Island, a Chimpanzee Sanctuary
and Wildlife Conservation Trust (CSWCT)
in Lake Victoria, was established
as a combined national and international
initiative and an internationally
recognized collaborative conservation
effort, aimed at developing and implementing
a long-standing strategy for the conservation
of chimpanzees and their surroundings.
The island is a home to 40 orphaned
chimpanzees which are an endangered
species found in forests and 20 of
which have been brought to the island
since when the sanctuary opened. Have
your overnight on Ngamba Island in
the well-organized tented accommodation.
Day 4: Viewing
Chimpanzees in Ngamba Island
Have breakfast and start a forest
walk on the island with the chimpanzees.
After the walk you will sail to the
main lake shores in Entebbe from where
you will be driven to a hotel in Entebbe
or Kampala for your lunch.
Day 5: Airport
Transfer for a flight back home
End of Uganda the trip
